You know by now how "into" the upcycled craze I am. Once your little girl (or boy!) puts on an upcycled dress or skirt there's no going back. They are about as comfortable and cute as you can get. We just got back from Disney and while there I think Anna wore an upcycled outfit at least once a day (lilblueboo, mudpuddlz, okeedokeekids, sorenlorensendesign and the list goes on!) One thing we took that we adored were upcycled shorts (Mickey & Minnie) from www.bebegear.etsy.com. ADORABLE!! These are so cute and comfy I must get more!! She's also doing cute spaghetti strap dresses and super fun rompers (if you can get your hands on one!) Get there quick, suddenly they are going like wildfire! (Find her on Facebook, probably could get a custom romper if you asked real nice --- like we do!!)

Upcycle Me Crazy!

It's getting harder and harder to get your hands on an upcycled dress from CourtneyCourtney or LilBlueboo (both on etsy) I certainly know why, their designs are amazing and their craftmanship is phenomenal. But, if you're not at the right place at the right time (meaning on your computer 24 hours a day) you can't get one!

Well, there area few more contenders in the upcycle market now. Are they a Courtneycourtney or Lilblueboo? No, definitely not. But their dresses are cute and fun in their own right. Little Blue Boo

Another FAV store of mine is http://www.lilblueboo.etsy.com/. Awesome seller, great upcycled clothes and best of all, she sells patterns for beginners!! So, if you love these upcycled dresses and skirts but can't take the stress of trying to buy one (they sell out in seconds---but I did get this one!! $34) make one or two yourself!! I've ordered my sewing machine...

Courtney Courtney

One of my all time favorite etsy shops now has her own store front!http://courtneycourtney.bigcartel.com/ makes awesome upcycled clothes using her own designs with her unique exposed serged seams (we have 5 with #6 on the way!) Really really fun and super comfortable clothes. She even has a resale market on facebook where people like me list their now too small clothing (http://www.facebook.com/home.php?ref=home#/courtneycourtney.market ) The clothes resell as fast as they sell on her site (you have to be quick to get one!)

Upcycled!

I love this idea of upcycled clothing, taking a vintage fabric and making it new again! http://www.petal-design.com/ has a wonderful line of upcycled clothing in addition to their regular offerings. Here is an adorable dress full of fall colors that is just $20. Other styles and colors available!

Brought to you by Escama, these sharp-looking handbags are made by overlapping and weaving together recycled soda can tabs. Yup, 100 % post-consumer recycled aluminum tabs, the ones you pull to open a can of soda. Each bag has a zipper closure, hand crocheted padding, and a zippered pouch inside for extra convenience. These handbags are made in Brazil by the women of the Cia do Lacre and 100 Dimensao Cooperatives. Inside of each bag is a card with the name of the artist who crocheted the piece.
