I really love simple, hand made toys. Especially when they're made of wood. They just seem better some how. Lets our kids use their imaginations more (which is lost today on many of the gadgets with all those bells and whistles.)
Not saying that I don't love toys that have it all, it's just that these boats seem to pack a lot of fun into a little space. Here's an elephant print sailboat (comes in prints for boys and girls) Just $12 but sure to offer days and months of enjoyment. 
They also make these wooden rowboat ($14) that would be tons of fun to load up with army men or little polly pockets.
