Children's Personalized CD's!

Have you seen these CD's with Barney, Wiggles, Mickey Mouse and others who say your child's name throughout? I bought these for my kids and my nephews this past year (Barney, Mickey, Veggie Tails) and they LOVE them! I didn't realize how big of a hit they'd be when I got them. Hearing their name sung by Barney and Baby Bop or Mickey and Goofy somehow just tickles their fancy and makes them feel so important! They really are a lot of fun and we usually put them on after bath time and dance away. If you want a special gift, check them out. Here's one store that carries them (there are many that do) http://www.astoryaboutyou.com/site/481098/page/258020

Hand crafted children's banks

John and Anna are in the process of saving their money for another trip to Disney World (hopefully next year!) At Christmas, Santa brought them their own dinosaur banks to help them save their change. This ended up being the best gift all around. They love it!! They love watching the money go down into the belly. It really helps with their OT (occupational therapy) with handling the small change and positioning it properly to go in. They're really cute and just darn fun. John has a dinosaur and Anna has a cat. I found similar banks today in the dinosaur design and a fun doggy! They're available at http://www.handcrafters.com/index.php?main_page=index Definitely check them out!

I have pictures of princesses in her room and point to them and say princess and point to her and say princess. She loves it and knows she is a pretty princess! Imagine my delight when I came across love2sparkle's Etsy shop with this super sweet princess bracelet (for just $9!!!)

But trust me, don't stop there. She has so many princess items. Look at these hair clips:

New finds at Peanutbutterandlili.com

I love it when I can find something unique and original and so imagine my glee when I came across peanut butter and lili, a site packed full of just that. The first item I just LOVED and thought would make a wonderful shower or new mom gift was this baby briefcase! How cute and even more, needed! A place for all of those papers sent home from the hospital. A place for the birth record, birth certificate, discharge papers, everything baby. Put it all in here and keep it organized and easily accessible and really, just darn cute!

But don't stop there. Check out the site for more amazing products and finds. How about this Svan Bouncer (as seen on the Ellen show.) Perfectly formed for baby and beautiful too. I wish I had another baby just so I could get one! But no worries, I do know a few soon-mom to be's that I could surprise with this find. Maybe you know one too! http://www.peanutbutterandlili.com

Nubuis Organics

With all the worries of added chemicals, pesticides and everything else that goes into making the products we use everyday, it truly is a breath of fresh air to find Nubuis Organics. A site dedicated to clean, organic products, they have a line sure to please everyone.
Here are some great lunch products that will save you some $$ while helping the environment! First a reuseable sandwich wrap (no more plastic baggies!) and second, lunch boxes / packets to help make skipping the baggies much more cute and fun.

Cozy Cocoon & Nap Sacks

The picture alone will make you want this cozy cocoon, but let me give you the explanation from http://www.mom4life.com/ on the details:

The original, the only, one piece baby body sock!More than just a product, the Cozy Cocoon is an idea, which is that by swaddling our newborns with comfort, beauty and soft color, we encourage healthy development of the senses and we nurture the child's adjustment out of the womb and into the world. By this means, Cozy Cocoon supports parents and caregivers in building a strong foundation for the child's developing sense of self in the world. When babies are tucked into the Cozy Cocoon there is no jerking, startling movement, no skin-irritating synthetic fabrics and no harsh colors to startle them out of their dreamy reverie and into the rollicking world.

But don't stop there:
Check out their line of napsacks too! So many great products at www.mom4life.com!

Fun Recipes for Kids to make for Father's Day

Well, it's almost here, Father's day! The day for father's to be celebrated and to take it easy (and to take the kids, right---almost makes it mother's day!) Let the kids get involved. Have them paint a picture or make a card. Whatever their skill level allows. It'll be a keepsake that dad can treasure.

Another fun idea is to have the kids help make something special for dad to eat. How about breakfast in bed?? Well, here's an idea that won't make a mess out of your kitchen! A fruity bagel that'll sure to please everyone:

Recipe available at http://www.kraftfoods.com/kf/recipes/philly-fruity-bagel-110587.aspx but here it is:

1 plain bagel (3 inch), halved, toasted
2 Tbsp. PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese Spread
1/4 cup sliced fresh peaches
1/4 cup blueberries
SPREAD bagel halves with cream cheese spread.
TOP with fruit.

Here's another fun idea for the kids that they'll love eating as much as making!! How about an ice cream pie. Nothing's better on a hot day than not having to use an oven. And what could be better than ice cream (and toppings?) Try this one out:

Using different kinds of crumbs and different ice cream flavors and toppings, you can create an almost infinite variety of super easy summer desserts using this easy recipe. Just be sure to take it out of the freezer for about half an hour before serving so it's soft enough to slice. INGREDIENTS:
1 prepared graham cracker or cookie crumb crust
4 cups any flavor ice cream or sorbet, slightly softened
1 cup hot fudge sauce or butterscotch or strawberry sauce
whipped cream
nuts
maraschino cherries
PREPARATION:
Layer scoops of ice cream with sauce in the pie crust. Cover tightly and freeze until firm, at least 4 hours. Serve with additional toppings, whipped cream, nuts, cherries, etc. if desired. 8 servings

Hair Ribbon TuTus

Here is another Etsy find, Pink Chandelier makes these adorable hair ribbon/hair clip tutus for just the right place to keep your little princess's hair accessories! I saw a website with these previously and have now found them on Etsy. They are so pretty and she makes them in different color combinations. I show 2 of them but she has more listed and would likely make custom colors if asked. What a great decoration for a little girl's room (I plan on getting pink and green for Anna!) http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5913840

Happy Birthday Keepsake

Here's a new and wonderful idea from craftsburykids.com. A Happy Birthday keepsake album to record your child's birthdays each year. There is a pocket to keep an invitation, places to record guest lists, presents received and more. I always want to keep a copy of the invitation for the party each year but always end up losing it because I have no place for it. Well, here it is. What a great idea and fun to look back each year at the birthday, maybe a few pictures and the theme (reminds you and them of what they liked at the time.) Want other gift ideas? They have them too: http://www.craftsburykids.com/
